Total Market Cap aggregates the market capitalization of every tracked cryptocurrency. It's the most comprehensive single-number view of the crypto market's size. Key Psychological Levels
Round number thresholds matter in markets because they concentrate human attention and trigger algorithmic orders. In crypto: $1T has acted as both support and resistance; $2T represents a "healthy bull market" baseline; $3T+ is strong bull territory; the 2021 all-time high was near $3T. The distance from current levels to these benchmarks provides useful context for position sizing.
Composition Matters
A rising total market cap led by BTC (rising dominance) suggests a more conservative bull market. A rising total led by altcoins (falling BTC dominance) suggests risk appetite is high.
